Gem of the Week – Chrysocholla
You may have seen chrysocholla before, but have no clue what the name of it is. This gemstone is found in blue and green hues. Chrysocholla is often multicolored and marked with brown or black inclusions that add even more character to the stone.

Unfortunately, this gemstone lacks the hardiness and durability that most jewelry lovers look for in a long-lasting piece of jewelry, but it is beautiful on any type of setting or used as a pendant with its opaque and vitreous to greasy luster. Sometimes, quartz is mixed in with chrysocholla to make it a bit hardier and create a better stone for future wear.
What do you think about this gem? Love it or leave it?
