Diamond Suppliers Await Holiday Sales

The summer of 2015 was a slower than expected in sales for the jewelry industry. The diamond industry is still waiting on sales, in hopes for a good holiday season, but normally by now, an increase in sales for the holiday has already been reported.

Diamond suppliers are not worried, however, because sales are solid and even, and the outlook is decent, with softer prices going into the third quarter.

Even jewelry retailers have reported slower sales this summer, with sales of larger stones and bridal engagement rings holding strong.

So, it will be interesting as we head into the third quarter to see if things pick up in the jewelry industry or if they will remain the same through the holidays.
