Gem of the Week – Rutilated Quartz
Most people know what a quartz gemstone looks like. At the very least, most people have seen a quartz watch. The difference between a regular quartz and a rutilated quartz is the golden yellow Rutile inclusions that are hairlike or needlelike embeddings in the stone.
The rutile inclusions in each piece of rutilated quartz make each stone unique, because each pattern is different. Some rutile inclusions are considered thin, sparse, or parallel, while other on the other end of the spectrum are dense, thick or criss-crossed.
As you can see from the pictures above, the colors range widely in this gemstone, however most fall within the tan, brown, yellow, white and clear range.
If you are interested in increasing your energy levels, attracting love or diminishing your fears, rutilated quartz is known as the gemstone that can help you. Supposedly, if you are stuck in a rut, the rutilated quartz can give you assistance with working your way through that rut.
